The Caribbean and Central America circuit is dominated by cruise ship port stops, all-inclusive resort entertainment, and beach bar networks. Most bookings come through cruise lines or resort entertainment companies rather than individual venues. The circuit is seasonal — peak season runs November through April — and competition for the better-paying resort contracts is significant. Musicians already on the cruise ship circuit often pick up Caribbean port-of-call work as part of their contracts.
