East Asia — particularly Japan and South Korea — maintains a significant hotel entertainment circuit. Japan in particular has a long tradition of live music in hotel bars and jazz clubs, and pay rates are competitive. Korea's expat venue scene is growing. China's market is larger but more complex from a visa and legal standpoint. All East Asian markets require careful advance planning, usually through local entertainment agencies.
